I tried using it, but it kept calling totally normal apps and files threats like some paranoid little hall monitor. After a while, I got sick of double-checking everything it complained about. not worth the hassle for me

I bought PC Matic thinking I’d just download it, click through a few things, and be done, but the install was way more of a hassle than I expected because the steps weren’t that clear, I kept second-guessing what I was supposed to click next, and every time I thought I was moving forward I felt like I had missed something or ended up stuck again.

It took way longer than it should have, and maybe the program works fine once it’s actually running, but just getting it onto my laptop was frustrating enough that I had to walk away from it for a while.

I installed PC Matic hoping it would tidy things up a bit, because apparently my laptop needed a digital spa day. Instead, it somehow started feeling slower, which was a fun little twist. Chrome took longer to open, and even basic folders seemed to think about it first.
Maybe it does wonders on other computers, but on mine the scans and background activity just made everything drag. I gave it a few days, then uninstalled it, and ironically my laptop felt happier without the program that was supposed to help it

I feel kind of stupid for trusting their tech support to help. I waited forever just to get a reply, and when they finally answered, it was the same basic troubleshooting steps I had already tried and clearly mentioned. I asked a follow-up, hoping someone would actually look into it, but the response was basically useless. It really felt like they didn’t even read what I wrote.

I was really expecting the real-time blocking to catch the things I needed blocked, but it still let some of them through. Like, make it make sense. That’s kind of the whole reason I wanted to use it, so it was disappointing.

I installed PC Matic on my Windows laptop hoping it would help, but it actually seemed to make everything more sluggish. Startup started taking longer, and a few of my apps kept freezing randomly. I messed around with the settings to see if I could fix it, but it didn’t really make much difference. Not sure if it was just my setup or the software itself, but it made me question the overall quality. I ended up uninstalling it, and my laptop ran better again after that

I bought PC Matic because I thought that if something went wrong, I’d be able to talk to a real person and get help without too much stress. So when I actually needed support, it felt frustrating to realize phone help wasn’t really there in the way I expected.

Most of the support options kept pushing me toward online help or submitting tickets, and that just isn’t what I’m comfortable with. I’m not super tech-savvy, so trying to explain a problem by typing back and forth made me feel even more overwhelmed instead of helped.

The software itself might be okay, but for me, support matters a lot because I don’t want to feel stuck when something goes wrong. The lack of real phone support was disappointing enough that I wouldn’t buy it again...

Overall, it wasn’t bad... I just wish the pricing had been clearer from the start. I had to dig around a bit to figure out the actual cost, which was kind of frustrating. Not a huge deal, but it would’ve made the whole experience smoother.

PC Matic has been working okay for me overall, but the support timing threw me off a little. I sent them a message and expected to hear back sooner, so I was kind of sitting there wondering if I missed something or if my request even went through. When they finally replied, they were polite and the answer was helpful enough, so that part was fine. It just wasn’t very fast. Not awful, but not amazing either. I’d say 3 stars is about right

I like the idea behind PC Matic because blocking unknown stuff with the whitelist does make me feel a bit safer. But it also gets in the way sometimes and stops apps I know are legit, which is frustrating. It’s not bad overall, it just needs to be less of a hassle.

The website and emails came off a little pushy to me, and I wish some of the details had been clearer before I paid. When I contacted support, they weren’t awful, but the replies were slow and felt like robots answering emails with the same copy-and-paste responses.

Maybe it works great for some people, and I’m not saying it’s useless. I just didn’t come away feeling totally confident or trusting, so I’d suggest reading everything carefully before signing up.

It’s nice that it covers all my laptops, so I’ll give it that. But adding my phones was way more confusing than it needed to be, and some of the policy wording feels like it leaves little loopholes they could use later. Overall it works, but the setup definitely wasn’t smooth

I got my refund after a few days, and thankfully there wasn’t any hassle with it. It just took a little longer than I expected. Has anyone else had the same issue with the wait time?

It does block a good number of popups, so I can tell it’s working to some extent. That said, I’m still seeing ads come through here and there, which is a little frustrating. Maybe I’m expecting too much, but I feel like if it’s meant to control popups, it should catch more of them, right?

The scans are definitely quick enough for me, which I appreciate. That said, a few little things have made me trust it a bit less over time, so I’m not as confident in it as I was at first.

I was just trying to update some basic account stuff, but I kept getting sent in circles. Compared to other sites where it’s usually straightforward, this felt way more confusing than it needed to be. it got frustrating fast.

My renewal did go through without any real issues, but the billing notice showed up later than I expected. I’m cautious with charges and like having enough time to double-check everything before a payment hits, so that made me a little uneasy. Overall it was fine, just wish the notice came earlier

It said my tablet was supported, so I figured it would work fine. But every time I tried to install it, it just kept failing. I reached out to support and the only advice I got was to use a different computer, which wasn’t really helpful since I was trying to use it on my tablet.

I paid for PC Matic i’m not really seeing where the value is. For what it does, the renewal price feels way too high, especially when there are cheaper options out there that seem to work just as well. Like, make it make sense. I just don’t feel like I got enough out of it to justify paying again, so I won’t be renewing.

PC Matic seems to do what it’s supposed to do, I guess!!! But using the website and the software was way more confusing than I expected!!! Some of the buttons and settings weren’t super clear, so I kept clicking around just trying to find basic things!!!

I’m not exactly a tech expert, but I can usually figure out antivirus programs without too much trouble!!! This one just felt clunky and kind of old-school to me!!! I really think it needs to be simpler and more user-friendly for regular people!!!
